Surry Dam Road Lost in the Woods TrailDirt route from Surry Dam Rd to Dort Rd, Surry, Cheshire County, New Hampshire "This trail is not clearly marked on any maps I can find. It starts from Surry Dam Road and is really smooth until you reach the high voltage power lines overhead. Then depending on the time of year the trail may be somewhat overgrown with flowers and grass. The trail markings are not as clear as they could be. Eventually you'll end up in the woods. It's a pretty rough trail, so probably a mountain bike would be the best choice. It's not a gravel bike friendly path. It is only 3 miles, but it is a slow 3 miles." |

Cheshire Rail Trail LoopGravel route on , Keene, Cheshire County, New Hampshire "Rough in some places. Starting in Keene will allow you to easily find parking. There is parking on Eastern Ave. or park at Walmart or the Keene State College public parking area off of Winchester." 1 1 |

Gulf Road to WantastiquetDirt route from Gulf Rd to Mountain Rd, Hinsdale, Cheshire County, New Hampshire "Starts on gravel and leads into a rough mountain trail more suited to mountain bikes due to the large granite chunks of stone strewn across the trail. Very rocky with some steep climbs, but the trail feels well maintained and has a few points that branch off upward to higher elevations and steeper climbs. Don't fall down the steep bank that leads down to the river." |

Weeden Hill Road to Hammond Hill RoadGravel route from County Rd to Hammond Hill Rd, West Windsor, Windsor County, Vermont "Gravel road through the woods in the hills of Vermont. A pretty challenging and steady climb without many cars to contend with. Hammond Hill Road continues North or South unpaved." |

Crehore Road to Merriam Road ClimbDirt route from County Rd to Scovill Rd, Walpole, Cheshire County, New Hampshire "Climb the tallest hill in Walpole NH @ 1,600+ feet altitude. The climb starts on a gravel road. It eventually turns into mountain bike terrain and probably impassable with a gravel bike (not easily at least). There are some deep mud sections that could be impassable with any bike after a rain. There are some hiking trails that lead to scenic areas, but there are no views from the trail itself." |

Hinsdale to Ashuelot Rail Trail ClimbDirt route from Depot St to Recycle Way, Winchester, Cheshire County, New Hampshire "A gradual, secluded, scenic climb through the woods from Hinsdale to Ashuelot. You'll pass some old buildings (@ 42.789902, -72.457020) that just add to the atmosphere of the old rail trail. Watch the trail for hazards especially after a rain, because it can get muddy in spots where water descends 400 feet from the hills to your right as you travel East." |

Winchester to West Swanzey Rail TrailDirt route from Elm St to Eaton Rd, Swanzey, Cheshire County, New Hampshire "There are some rough spots near Winchester. Watch the trail closely for a concrete culvert that protrudes significantly above the trail. The trail progressively improves the closer you get to West Swanzey. It's doable with a gravel bike I think, but I rode a mountain bike with no real issues." 1 1 1 |

Keene to West SwanzeyGravel route from Ralston St to Eaton Rd, Swanzey, Cheshire County, New Hampshire "Begins with asphalt, turns to gravel, then to dirt in the woods (still smooth travel dodging fallen branches), then it turns to gravel again. The rail trail continues south, but it becomes rough after West Swanzey (probably still rideable, but more a washboard feeling)." 1 |

City Dump ClimbGravel route from North Bridge to Cheshire Rail Trail, Surry, Cheshire County, New Hampshire "This was an old rail road line. Mostly gravel, some dirt, and it gets bumpy around Hurricane Road. The path massively deteriorates after the city dump. Most of the travel is within the woods, quiet and secluded away from traffic." |
